Alta Alella

Uprostřed přírodního parku Serralada de Marina, kousek od Středozemního moře a jen několik mil od Barcelony, stojí vinařství ALTA ALELLA, splněný sen Pujol-Busquets Guilléns. Rodina, která se vždy věnovala vinařství. Josep Maria a Cristina strávili celý svůj život sdílením kultury vína. Jejich dcery Mireia a Georgina vyrostly obklopené vinicemi, hrozny, sklizněmi a lahvemi. Je to v jejich DNA.

Rozumí každému zákoutí svých vinic. Váží si kořenů každé jednotlivé révy. Pouze díky této úctě může rodina Pujol-Busquets Guillén udržet svůj závazek a prokázat lásku k půdě.

Usedlost se nachází pouhé dva kilometry od Středozemního moře a vinice jsou vysázeny na svazích a terasách v nadmořské výšce 100 až 250 metrů. Vinná réva se pěstuje na půdě Sauló, která je jedním z nejdůležitějších prvků určujících vína z Alta Alella: kyselá bílá písčitá půda na bázi žuly s nízkým obsahem vápence, nízkým obsahem organických látek a dobrým přirozeným odvodem vody.

Sklizeň se provádí ručně, přičemž se věnuje pozornost každé rostlině zvlášť pomocí přesné kontroly zralosti a hledá se optimální okamžik pro sklizeň každé odrůdy v co nejzdravějších podmínkách, aby byl zaručen nejlepší výsledek. Vinařství pracuje s mikrovinifikacemi a rozmanitostí/odrůdou hroznů, přičemž každý ročník vyrábí až padesát různých vín určených ke smíchání.

Grape variety: Pansa Blanca (Xarel-lo)

A white wine made from organic Pansa Blanca grapes (otherwise known as Xarel-lo). The grapes are harvested at the best quality, which allows a short maceration at a very low temperature to achieve a good extraction of flavours. The grapes are lightly pressed to obtain the first pressed must, which is then fermented in stainless steel vats at a low temperature.

A very rainy spring has caused a lot of vegetative growth with subsequent problems with grape blight, which has resulted in extremely limited production in the area. It is also worth noting the loss of grapes caused by wild boar: the pandemic and the restrictions on forestry have led to the proliferation of these animals and their appearance in vineyards where they were never present. Low vineyard yields combined with the intense heat in August caused the grapes to ripen very quickly, making it the earliest harvest in several years. A vintage with a reduced yield and good quality.
