Montepulciano is grown in Abruzzese at an altitude of between 300 and 450 metres. The carefully selected grapes are crushed and left with the skins and their original yeasts to macerate for 10-15 days at a constant temperature of 25/28 °C. Ageing takes place in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks for at least four months. The wine rests for some time in the bottle before it is available for purchase.
